إِنَّا لِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ‎

Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return.

Assalamu Alaykum Brothers and Sisters,

It is with great sadness we have recently lost our sister Rumana Abdu Mekonnen. Following a long battle fighting illness, Umm Abdu has passed away and was buried on October 12, 2020. In her honour, we are raising money for sadaqah jariyah to build a classroom in a masjid in Kassala, Sudan where the Quran and Deen can be taught and a water well to provide food and sustenance in a needing community. Please on behalf of Rumana continue to pray for and support this campaign in order for her to gain more good deeds.

The Prophet (PBUH) said, “When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity) or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him.”

May Allah have mercy on her and grant her the highest level of Jannah
